We saw many memorials while in Washington. The Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial, Korean War memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial to name a few.

Seeing the Hope Diamond was amazing! This neclace is kept in a glass case in the Museum of Natural History. It is now worth over $300 million dollars! We also went to Ford's Theatre where President Lincoln was shot while watching a play from the balcony. From the top of the Washington Monument we could see the whole mall, including the Whitehouse and the Capitol Building.

I took a picture next to each state I have visited. During this trip I went to District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. They are very close to each other. One day we took the Metro to Maryland to have lunch, 10 minutes away.
