WDW is approaching
Today I decided to take a look at the Chat Forums that are set up for the Walt Disney World International participants. It was so informative and alot of fun to read what everyone is saying. I also came across a couple people from Canada who are going around the same time. So pretty much my day has gone by and I have done nothing productive besides surf the web.
However, Last night I booked my flight, I will be flying out on March 24th (4 days early) with my mom so we can have some time to relax, shop, explore and get me set up before my adventure starts. I think we will also spend a day in "Islands of Adventure" in Universal Studios. We are renting a car so I also hope to hit up some Florida beaches. Woo Hoo!!! the hotel has a waterslide. Sooo excited!!

Happy Hearts Day
I Hope that everyone had a Wonderful Valentines day! Chris took me out for dinner to Shabusen where we cooked our own food at the table - Japanese style! It was alot of fun and my first time there.
Today was exciting for me because not only did I get a card from Kelsey in Portland but I got my working Visa for down in Florida. Disney also sent me a big package full of goodies. There was tons of paperwork of course, but also some Mickey stickers and Disneyworld Luggage tags! Just over a month til I leave - Scary thought!!

Discovery Cove
This place looks absolutely amazing. It is an amusement park like no other. Full of sandy white beaches, sparkling lagoons, lavish reefs and grottos. You can swim with dolphins, discover millions of tropical fish in the coral reefs, swim with giant mantarays, take a trip down the discovery river which goes through a jungle ending at a waterfall, or simply relax on the palm filled beach. There are never crowds or line ups because they limit the guests to 1000 per day which means you need to reserve months in advance.
The day at discovery also includes everything from snorkel gear, breakfast, sunscreen and buffet lunch. The Price is not cheap though. Admission starts at US $149 for the day and $249 with the dolphin experience. It sure looks beautiful though... I have decided Discovery cove is something I will have to Discover!
They also have all sorts of birthday and proposal packages where a dolphin delivers the ring to your sweetheart with your proposal message. The package also includes champagne, red roses, and special tent cabana, a private photographer and keepsake photos. How romantic!!

My new home
Well I have decided that I love Google Earth. I was playing around with it this weekend seeing what I could find. The satellite images are great and you can zoom in on everything, even restaurants and shops in the area. I have been able to find out alot of information. Here is where I will be living in Florida.
This is the pool you can see on the map near the center lake. I can't wait to see it in real life but the piture sure looks nice!

Matthew on Oprah!
Today Matthew McConnaughy was on Oprah. I think he is just the best!! He took the show on a tour of his house and brought in his new puppy! Then Oprah made his play this game she likes... She names an actress he's worked with and asks him to describe in one word.
Oprah: Sarah Jessica Parker?
Matthew: Great comedic timing. … She's a very interesting woman.
Oprah: Jennifer Lopez?
Matthew: Talk about a quintet threat—I've never seen anyone that is so conscious of what she needs to do. [She] choreographs what she needs to do and does it.
Oprah: Sandra Bullock?
Matthew: She could run a country if she wanted to. Beautiful, too.
Oprah: Kate Hudson?
Matthew: She gets it.
Oprah: Ashley Judd?
Matthew: A.J.'s strong.
Oprah: Penelope Cruz?
Matthew: She's lovely.
Sunny White Rock
Lots of times it will be sunny in White Rock and then once you cross the bridge, or even enter the rest of Surrey... Not so sunny! :( Today it is sunny all over the lower mainland!!! Such a beautiful day that it makes me more excited to be going to Florida~! Here is a picture I took today while walking on the pier. See the birds?

What a wonderful day!!
Despite us both being a bit tired from last night, I managed to convince Ola to go on a nice walk in Newport Villiage. It was sunny this morning and the air was cool and crisp. Just what I needed. We stopped at a great little japanese restaurant and enjoyed some miso soup and california rolls. Our main reason was to go and drink lots of green tea... which we did.
Ola is having to make some big decisions on what to order off the menu...
Flowers!!!
We had a great time walking around the village and looking in and around the shops... We went into a great little gift shop where I bought some stickers, and I found a 2006 day planner called "The Diva datebook", which I loved, when I went to buy it the lady told me I could just have it. I was like "what? what do you mean just have it"? She said Ola could have one too, it was sooo nice of her. She said they aren't going to be selling day planners anymore or something!?

More Sunday adventures...
I didn't want our outing to end, so we decided to take a walk at Rocky Point. Since everyone on the planet is at home watching the super bowl, it wasn't too busy. It was just great!! Ola and I were remembering times we had when we were younger at Rocky Point... watching fireworks, boating, swimming in the outdoor pool, and eating fish and chips. It was fun to enjoy it on a brisk winter day for a change.
Walking on the pier
On our way back I stopped to rent a movie, and Blockbuster is no longer renting VHS movies.. they were all on sale for $1.99 We both found some of our favorites, even if I only watch them once its still worth it. Haha, the cost of the dvd I rented was the same price as buying 3 of the movies...

Expedition Everest!!
This ride is the newest ride to open this Spring in Walt Disney World. I am quite excited to try it out. If you know me well, you know how much I love rides... I just found out that during my first few days in ORlando, part of my orientation includes touring the theme parks (MAgic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcott Center, Disney MGM etc.) learning about the traditions and going on rides. Sounds like fun to me!!!!
In spring 2006, Disney's Animal Kingdom unveils Expedition Everest-Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, a runaway train adventure that combines coaster-like thrills with the excitement of a close encounter of the hairy kind. Aboard out-of-control railcars racing forward and backward, white-knuckle adventurers swoop into the unknown, braving twists, turns and drops inside and outside a mighty mountain leading to an unforgettable encounter.!
