Mexico!

This morning I had a Jackson Triggs Wine Tasting seminar at work. We also got to try some new items from the fall menu, which were very delicious! I worked til 4 and then Tracy and Pierre Luc came and met me and we went and got Margaritas in Mexico. We then had dinner in the Mexican restaurant. It was sooooo good! Our server Pablo was awesome and the food was amazing! We then went on the Mexican Boat ride! We walked around World Showcase after and had a really fun night!

Savannah Georgia!

I just returned home from a visit to the oldest planned city in America! It was beautiful! There was so much history and I felt so relaxed the whole time! Savannah is also the most haunted city in America. We stayed in a boutique like hotel in the center of town which had a courtyard in the middle and an afternoon tea which we attended and listened to the live piano and jazz singing. It was the perfect two day getaway with an American history lesson included!

We went to the square where Forest Gump is filmed, where he sits on the bench and tells his story.
The feather in Forest Gump floats down from this church.
Some historic buildings in Savannah. They were beautiful!

I'm doing just Peachy!!

Talk about being in the South!! It was funny hearing people talk in their southern accents. You ask someone how they're doing, and they respond "Just Peachy! How ya'll doing?" Brad and I also became addicted to Sweet tea on this trip. It is like ice tea but much sweeter! Here we are sitting in famous Montgomery Square.

The Mercer Mansion which the book and movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" is based upon. There are many stories about this house. Very interesting stuff!!

Yay for days off!!

I am really excited to have the next two days off! The plan is to go to Savannah Georgia on a road trip with Brad, Jen and Renata who also have those days off. Savannah is supposed to be gorgeous and I can't wait to see another state.

P.S. I am missing everyone at home more than ever right now! Sometimes I wish I could hop on the next flight home... it was hard not to come home with my family!

PICTURES!

This last week I have been super busy and I have not had a chance to post any pictures. My parents and brother have been here since last Monday and my cousin Sarah and uncle Steve have been here since Sunday. We have done so many things, I have been very lucky to have so much time off from work.

We stayed at the Boardwalk for a few nights! I absolutely love it there, there is so much to do, and its right on the water. It was nice and relaxing! Alicia came over one day and we rented a Surey bike and drove it all around the boardwalk and over to the Yacht and Beach CLub. It was lots of work, but really funny!
We went to Epcot and later had dinner at Le Cellier! Later me, my mom and Gary went to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic hours and stayed til 2 am. It was tons of fun!
We went to Disney's Blizzard Beach water park. It was great! They have the tallest waterslide in the world called the Summit Plummit! "Disney legend has it that after a freak winter storm blanketed the area with snow, Florida's first ski resort was born. When temperatures returned to normal, the powdery snow turned to slippery slush. Slalom courses, bobsled and toboggan runs became downhill waterslides. The chair lift carried swimmers instead of skiers. The ski jump became the tallest, fastest waterslide in the nation."

Fun rides!

I love these pictures of Sarah and Adam on Thunder Mountain. They were so funny!

We went on the Tower of Terror so many times! Here we are with the creepy looking bellman of the hotel! Sarah loved this ride and kept wanting to go again.

They're here!

The day my family arrived, I had the day off so I checked into the resort and explored around a bit. Went to the pool, layed in a hammock and looked around the shops. I was buying a water in the gift shop when my mom came from behind me and totally surprised me. It was so good to see my family after 4 months. We went for dinner at Boma in the Amimal Kingdom Lodge! It was excellent! In the morning we went to the pool and then to Animal Kingdom where we rode "Everest" - the Forbidden Mountain. It was awesome, since it was Extra Magic Hours, the park was open til 10pm for those staying in a disney resort. Riding Everest at night in the front was the best ever!!!!

Last night went to Downtown disney and out for dinner at Raglan Road Irish pub in Pleasure Island.

My Family is coming!!!

Only 2 days left until my Mom, Dad, and brother arrive. I am so excited to see them, it has been almost 4 months. They are staying for 2 weeks and my uncle and cousin are coming too for the second week. Here are some pictures of the disney resorts we are staying at. I can't wait to lounge by the pool and go the the parks for extra magic hours!

The Extreme Room makeover!!!

Over the last few days Alicia and I have been cleaning our room. It has been a multi-day project because we are always working or too busy. It was a terrible mess and we decided to take a before and after picture. It looks great now but what a disaster it was!!!

*MIAMI*

Miami was unbelievable! I had such an amazing time!!! We did so many things that the two days we spent there were jam packed with excitement! We took so many great pictures that it is so hard to choose which ones to blog...

Our hotel was covered in oil pantings just like this one. So colourful!

We stayed at a hotel in South Beach called the Clay Hotel. It is also used as a hostel. The location was excellent, just a walk from the beach and shopping, and was right above Espanola way which is full of little shops and restaurants. It is very busy throughout the day and at night.
Espanola street and our hotel during the day.

South Beach

I convinced Alicia to head straight to the beach, which Heidi and Angela went to check out Miami Ink tattoo parlour from the hit T.V. show.
I Love the Beach!

South Beach shopping!

Lincoln Street in South Beach

Lincoln street is the pedestrian only road which stretchea for many blocks. It is full of shops, restaurants, bars and outdoor patios. There are little boutiques as well as big names like Victoria Secret. Everyone is trying to get you to eat at their place and will offer free drinks, free appetizers, you name it! Alicia and I stopped for a drink and later met up with the girls after shopping for and Italian dinner. The food was so good and they brought us a free bottle of wine. I know... crazy hey?!

Club Mansion

So Heidi said that going to Club Mansion is one of her dreams. All the stars hang out there and it is extremely hard to get into. We asked all around town and everyone said it was one of the nicest, biggest, most expensive bars, and the line can take hours. It is featured weekly in US and People as the hotspot in Miami! I could not believe it when we walked up and the bouncer asked "How many". It happened so fast and before we knew it we were inside the nicest club I have ever seen!!! It was beautiful!! Check out their website!
The 40,000 sq ft Mansion Club is frequented by Puff Daddy, J'Lo, Black Eyed Peas, and Jay Z and is decorated with Crystal Chandelliers, sweeping staircases and Venetian mirrors!

Ocean Drive

Yesterday we went to Ocean Drive at Miami Beach. This street is amazing! It is lined with shops and restaurants. The restaurants are amazing and you can find any kind of food. They all have really nice outdoor patios and are very stylish! The streets are lined with Palm Trees, Bentleys and beautiful people and the beach is just across the street! Alicia and I ate lunch and took a million pictures! We also went to Wet Willy's which is a famous patio bar on the strip! Ludacris sings "If you're with me aint no time to sleep, especially at Wet Willys on Miami Beach!" It was so funny because I was really excited and thought about the song right away!!!
