Day 2 in the City

On the Second day we took a trolley tour uptown New York, it was great because we sat at the top and the views were great! Also very cold, my legs were numb by the end of it. We went to Serendipity for lunch and then did some shopping on 5th Avenue! This bottle of Juicy Couture Perfume was so big it cost $3000!



Later we went to Rockefeller center home of the world famous Christmas tree! It was beautiful! For Tanis's Birthday we got dressed up and went out for dinner. Wish I remember what the restaurant was called. Happy Birthday Tanis!!

Day 3 in the City

We went to the top of the Empire State Building! The views of the City were amazing! You could see all of Manhattan, Statten Island, and New Jersey. It was alot to take in but well worth the wait! After we took a cab to China town and Canal street for some shopping - My favorite part!

Central Park

The one thing I really wanted to do during this trip to New York was go Ice Skating in Central Park. So on the last day we woke up really early, got all packed up and took a short cab to Wollman Rink in Central Park (from the film Serendipity). It was an absolutely beautiful day, cold and crisp but very sunny! We all rented skates and drank hot chocolate. It was so much fun, and I never wanted this day to end. We then walked around Central Park and watched the carriages go by. It was perfect!

Its December!!!

Two nights ago we decorated our apartment for Christmas, we put up a Christmas tree, hung lights, made little appetizers and drank egg nog. It was lots of fun and our apartment looks very pretty and ready for the holidays. The Christmas trees at the parks look great too. I love Christmas time!!! I leave for New York in 3 days I am so so so Excited! I have almost made it through 8 days of straight working.

Expidition Everest

Bahamian Flowers

Castaway Cay

It was cloudy all day, but Castaway Cay was still amazing! Only Disney Cruise ships stop at this little island in the Bahamas. You can snorkel, swim with sting rays, drink Pina Colada's at the bar, bike around the island, or just relax on the adults only beach "Serenity Bay". We decided to go Parasailing, which was absolutely incredible! It was very windy but we were up almost 1000 feet and could see the whole island.

Disney Wonder

Here are the pictures from the Cruise! It was amazing! The pools, the food, the shows, the service! Disney definately goes all out that's for sure!!!

Nassau Bahamas

We rented a scooter and explored the Island of Nassau. Went to this really cool fish market where we tried Conch salad, went to Paradise Island to see Atlantis and go to the Casino, went to the beach, and of course shopped around the straw market where I bought a straw hat and this really nice canvas beach painting. The weather was cloudy but it was still lots of fun!

These little Bahamian girls came up to me and sang me a song for a dollar. They were very sweet!

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Wow I havent posted in forever! I have been super busy so its been really hard. Chris came to visit me and we went on a 3 day Disney cruise. Staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge was something ive always wanted to do here. From the balcony you look over the Savannah where Giraffes and Zebras roam around. It was very cool to be so close in an African setting.

Today I booked my second trip to New York!!! Cannot wait. Tanis and I planned out all the things we wanted to do when we get there. I am so excited to be there in December when it is cold, and experience New York City at Christmas time...
-I want to Ice skate at Rockefeller center under the world's largest Chrismas tree.
-Stand at the top of the Empire State building and look at all the snow covered buildings.
-Have my picture taken with the Santa Claus at Macy's department store (think "Miracle on 34th street")
-Take a horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park while drinking hot chocolate.
and... Walk down 5th avenue in a big cozy winter coat, scarf, and cute boots!
We are also planning on doing the Sex in the City tour and seeing the Rockette's Radio city show for Tanis's Birthday!!! Plus lots lots more.....
P.S. I bought a video camera today so I will have it for NY, Disney Cruise, Christmas time, and everything else exciting I have coming up!!

Went to Blue Martini the other night, here are a few pics.

Went shopping at the Florida mall the other day with Tanis and Jo on our day off. It was so great because it was rainy and dark outside so we spent the whole day shopping and then went for thai food. We all bought these cozy robes and eye masks. So comfy!!!

St Augustine day trip

Me, Jo, Bettina and Julie from Germany took a nice drive out to St. Augustine the other day to relax by the beach. It was a little chilly, but we had a great time watching the surfers and hanging out on the pier. I love it there, it's absolutely beautiful!

Christmas is how soon???

Well it looks like the Christmas season is amoung us. I was out driving today and noticed the street lamps near my house have already been decorated. All the Disney stores are selling Christmas stuff and Disneyworld is starting to look just a little extra magical! The only strange thing is its bright and sunny everyday. Definately a little cooler and not as humid as the summer, but not the winter weather I am used to. It'll be strange lying on the beach or tanning by the pool in December!

Happy Halloween

Monday night I pulled my costume together at the very last inute. I had this really cute white coat I bought in Miami and thought I would wear it. I decided to wear big glasses and go as a movie star. It turned out well because people started asking if I was Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis. So this is who I became. Kinda funny I think, but it was alot of fun!

My work journal

Okay so at work today I had my first ever table from my home town! Most Canadian's we get in the restaurant are from the East Coast(Quebec or Ontario)so having guests from my city on the West was pretty cool! They were so nice (family of 7) and excited to have me as their server, they even took a picture with me and promised to email. I also had a couple other tables tonight who said their meal was... quote "The Best Meal they ever had in their life". Okay wow!, you probably don't believe ,but I hear people say this all the time! I guess Canada gets a pretty good name in Disney Dining because we are rated number 2 out of hundreds of restaurants. I feel proud! hahaha

Le Cellier for dinner

Jo and Gary had never been to Canada's restaurant yet for dinner, so after Animal Kingdom we went to Epcot. It was soooo delicious!Tanis was our server and they loved it! Jo and I had Ice Wine Martini's and Mushroom Filet Mignon, and Gary had La Fin du Monde Canadian Beer and the New York Strip. It really is my favorite place to eat, even though I work there!

The three of us had the day off on Monday so we decided to go to Animal Kingdom where I hadn't been for a while! We rode Everest a couple times (Love this ride!!), went on the Safari and watched Bugs Life 3D.

Universal's Halloween Horror Nights!

We went to Universal Studios the other night for Halloween Horror Nights. It was scary but lots of fun. There are guys with scary make up dressed up carrying chain saws in the streets. We went into lots of haunted houses, all based on Classic horror films. Some Houses, Jo and I would even run out screaming!

My First Cruise!

Steph and I came back a couple days ago from our Bahamian Cruise! We sailed for 4 days on the Carnival Sensations! It was amazing! I have decided that I will go on many more cruises in my lifetime! Loved it!

Freeport - Grand Bahama Island

THe cruise ship stopped in Freeport - Grand Bahama Island, Steph and I took a guided tour around the island. We went to Port Lucaya Beach and looked around the shops. Once on board again we went to the spa for facials and massages. It was great!
