I am just about to finish packing my overnight bag and head down south to Miami beach! Heidi, Angela, Alicia and I are driving down there for two days. We are very excited because the sun is brightly shining and we are staying at a hotel right on South Beach! Will post pictures when I get back for sure!
Pictures from Chillers on Wednesday night. Stephanie and I bought these cute matching wristlets from the Coach Outlet!
Sunday night Alicia took me for dinner at Red Lobster. We walked there and had the most amazing seafood dinner after! Crab legs, lobster, coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, and ceasar salad and biscuits! We also had Lobsteritas! They were huge and I couldn't even finish mine!
The other night Alicia, Albin and I went to Howl at the Moon on International Drive. It's a dueling piano bar! We drank buckets of Heineken and requested songs all night, which never got played... but we had fun anyways.
Last night Tracy, Liz and I went to Downtown Disney to see the movie "The Devil Wears Prada", It was so fun and we all really enjoyed it. It's based on a book about a girl who gets a job at a high fashion magazine as the editor's assistant. It's hilarious and definately a chick flick! It kept me very entertained compared to the last movie I saw "The Lake House" where I fell asleep!
Yesterday I rented a car and Me, Tanis, Gary and Jon went to watch the Shuttle Launch in Cape Canaveral. It was a big deal and has been all over the news for weeks. After being cancelled twice because of weather conditions, Spaceship Discovery lifted off! It was amazing, we watched it from about 10 miles away at Jetty park! I could not believe I was on the East Coast of Florida watching a shuttle launch to space, on the 4th of July! Everyone was cheering and clapping, I felt very lucky! After watching the shuttle we headed to Cocoa beach, about 10 minutes away. It was packed there and we had a fun day at the beach. Jon had his waterproof camera so we took a ton of pictures! I love the Beach! This is the Florida I signed up for!!!
After being at the beach for a while, we walked down to Ron Jon (the biggest surf wear store I've ever seen) and then looked for a place to eat. We ended up getting a table on this rooftop patio overlooking the beach! It was so nice there! There was live music and it was super busy! Great view! Fighting traffic and driving back to Orlando after a long tiring day... not so fun!
I love this picure of Tanis holding her menu. This is after we found out we got a table by luck on the busiest patio in town. Other people were waiting for hours! hehe
For my birthday yesterday, myself and 8 friends went to the restaurant in Norway and dined with the princesses! We had a really fun time, and after we went on the Norweigan boat ride and walked over to the Boardwalk to take pictures. Later on Sheena, Tracy and I went to the Florida mall and did some shopping! Last night we went to Motion at Pleasure Island for my birthday! Here are the pics...
My really good friend Greta Lil from Norway left last night. Her contract was over and we had a leaving dinner to say goodbye. It was Sheena and I and a bunch of Norweigans. We went to Brio at the Mall at Millenia for dinner and then to the cheesecake factory to get cheesecake to-go. I got the best cheesecake ever! - Godiva chocolate cheesecake which was amazing!
Pictures from Canada day in Florida. Our Canadian pavillion had a big barbecue during the day and in the evening we had a big celebration! I sort of wish I was home for Canada day and my birthday, but being in Florida is the next best thing!
My long time friend Jennifer created a blog recently! It's funny because she said I inspired her to make one. I am hearing a lot of people saying that lately! Although I owe all my blogging credit to Lisa who inspired me! Im telling you... Blogs are contagious! Check it out!
Well I am home from New York and I have done some changes to my blog! I think it needed some redecorating! I did it mostly so my comments would work again (but I think it looks quite nice!) So Hooray! People please leave me lots of comments!... I have missed them!
So New York was fabulous! I got to see and do so many things! Unfortunately the Broadway show I had my heart set on "Wicked" was not playing but we went to see "Rent" instead which was amazing! Those Broadway stars sure can sing! Gary's dad and Gail took us to some great restaurants and bars and I had the best Eggs Benedict of my life right outside Grand Central Station. The city was pretty rainy so I carried an umbrella most of the time. I did lots of shopping on 5th Avenue, took the Subway, saw Miss Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. We went to Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown and saw the Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building! But my favorite thing was standing in the middle of Times Square! That was very cool!
After the Broadway show we got our driver to take us back to Times Square for some night pictures! We stayed at Gail's house which is actually in Greenwich, Conneticut right on the border of New York. It was right by the ocean where you could look over to the Hamptons! I can't wait to go back to New York, because there are sooo many things to do, you just can't fit them all in!
Took these pictures of and around New York City! I think the Subway moving is my favorite one! There were so many people everywhere, sometimes you just have to wonder where they are all going! After all it is the city that never Sleeps!
So a bunch of us went out on Saturday night for Gary's birthday! Guess you can guess who picked the place... I did! Yes... and I chose, for the second time in a week my favorite spot right now "TuTu Tango" which everyone loved! It was lots of fun!
I cannot believe that I am going to New York tommorrow! I am sooo excited! I am going with my great friend Gary who's dad lives there in Greenwich village! I can't wait to do some shopping and maybe see a Broadway show!
