Getting ready for the sunset

I decided to take a video clip of the sunset tonight from my digital camera. If you close your eyes, sometimes the sun can drop and you can miss the sunset! Posted by Picasa

handstand!

Here is Chris showing off at sunset with a handstand. Posted by Picasa

riding in the back

I rode in the back of Jon's mustang. I love driving in convertibles in Hawaii. The views are amazing and the wind is not too cold. We went to the other side of the island, where we stopped in the surfing town of "Paia" and ate burgers. Posted by Picasa

Waterfall Pictures

I felt like I was in the movie "The Blue Lagoon". Jon (Chris's friend from when he lived here) took us to this waterfall not many people know about. The water was crystal clear but kinda cold. It was great!! Posted by Picasa

Cane spider

Waterfalls!

Today Jon took us to these Waterfalls! It was awesome!! I have always wanted to swim in a fresh water hawaiian waterfall! Posted by Picasa

Sansei!

Tonight we lined up at Hawaii's famous Sansei restaurant for their half price menu starting at 10pm. Chris's friend Jon works here so we knew it was good (and went last year). It is award winning and has the BEST sushi and Karaoke. Yum!

It was voted "One of America's eight best Sushi Restaurants" by Travel magazine.

MAUI TROPICAL PLANTATION

Today we went to the Maui Plantation in Wailuku. It was great! We took the guided train tour and I learned so much about different fruits and flowers. We got to walk all around and saw a coconut demonstration. I also ate the best Macadamia nut chocolate ice cream! Posted by Picasa

Beautiful!

The plantation was beautiful! So much to look at! Posted by Picasa

Places I Love

Today we went to Kaanapali! It was really nice but so windy and sand kept blowing in my face. Even though I couldn't keep my towel down it was still a great day!

I love Kaanapali because of the soft sand and busy beach.
I Love Kehei because its always sunny.
I love Wailea because of the beautiful resorts and walking.
I love Kahalui because of the deals I have found at Ross! Posted by Picasa

Kaanapali

Kaanapali is a beach just past Lahaina. We walked past a Luau set up at one of the hotels and Chris, Diane and I stopped for Mai Tai's. There is also a nice outdoor shopping center there called "Whalers Village" Posted by Picasa

Hiking in Maui

We walked back from Wailea today and took a hiking trail along the ocean. We were laughing because it was hardly a hike at all but there were signs everywhere I got alot of exercise today. Lots and lots of walking! Posted by Picasa

Having lunch in Wailea

Here are Chris and I at the Marriott in Wailea. It was great! Posted by Picasa

Beautiful Maui

These white birds (ingrits) walk around freely and beautiful flowers are everywhere. Lovely Lovely!!!

Lounging in the Sun!

This is the life... Trust me!! :)

The Grand Wailea

This hotel is amazing! It is where all the stars stay when they come to Maui. Last year I was able to get a wrist band for the pools. There are water slides, cabanas, beaches, swim up bars... the grounds are amazing! I love to walk around the resort. Oprah is staying here and she was spotted by our neighbors during lunch at "Mama's Fish House" restaurant. Posted by Picasa

More Pictures at the Grand Wailea. Wailea is the newest part of Maui and there are many hotels just like this. We also spent alot of time at Marriott Wailea bathing by the pool, having lunch and enjoying the sun. Chris is getting annoyed with me reading my book all the time.

I am reading "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey! I have seen at least 10 other people since I got here reading the same book! Posted by Picasa
