The Grand Wailea

 
This hotel is amazing! It is where all the stars stay when they come to Maui. Last year I was able to get a wrist band for the pools. There are water slides, cabanas, beaches, swim up bars... the grounds are amazing! I love to walk around the resort. Oprah is staying here and she was spotted by our neighbors during lunch at "Mama's Fish House" restaurant. 

 
More Pictures at the Grand Wailea. Wailea is the newest part of Maui and there are many hotels just like this. We also spent alot of time at Marriott Wailea bathing by the pool, having lunch and enjoying the sun. Chris is getting annoyed with me reading my book all the time.

I am reading "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey! I have seen at least 10 other people since I got here reading the same book! 

I Love this picture. It is the kid section at the Grand Wailea. Behind it are waterslides and the Ocean is infront! I will be taking my kids here someday!! haha

We all celebrated New Years Eve 2006 at the beach in Waikiki. We started out at a dance bar called Moose's. The fireworks on the beach were really good and lots of people were swimming in the ocean at midnight. It was cool because we were the last place in North America to celebrate New Years!

Hanauma Bay

Today we went to Hanauma Bay. The snorkeling was amazing!! So many different kinds of fish and I even saw a baracuda. At one point the waves were really strong and I was getting swept onto the rocks, it was really scary because you couldnt control it and there was coral everywhere that you cannot touch! It was still really amazing!!

PipeLine

We drove to Pipeline beach where they have all the surfer competitions! I took this picture of this little boy because it looked neat how he was so small compared to the huge wave. After this we went to this shrimp place, they were the best prawns I ever had!

Photo Shoot!!!

After playing in the waves, we went to a more secluded part of the beach and took a bunch of pictures. People kept coming over and asking to have their picture taken with us. The funniest were these japanese girls who wanted 6 group pictures. We had so much fun, and got alot of sun!!

 
Here is Lisa at Waimea Bay beach, Northshore. The waves were so big that we were only allowed in some parts of the water.

Oahu!!

Last night Lisa and I went for a walk along the beach, there is so many fun things to do here. Oahu is like a big city crammed on a little island. The view from the condo is amazing!!

Right now we are in Oahu! I am so excited because tommorrow we are renting trackers and going to the north shore of the island. Our flight tonight was very short and the plane only sat 12 people. Chris smuggled fireworks over for New Years, but we didnt know they were not allowed. We were so scared when we saw the WArNING sign. Soo lucky, because they even checked his bag, and no fine or jail time! :)

This morning I ran down Kehei road to Surfers Cove and to this other secluded beach. So many people are out running and jogging so early. I took these pctures while on my journey!

Today was a day of going to the beach, to the pool, and then back to the beach. It is so nice and sunny... Maui is paradise! I love the birds and flowers everywhere.

After what felt like a whole day of travelling, we finally arrived in Maui. We had to stopover in Oahu and our flight took extra long because of wind conditions. Our condo is great though, right by the beach and lots of space. This picture is of Haleakala mountains from the air while flying over Maui.
